In Harmony with History and Nature: The Expansion of Hotel Schlosswirt

For centuries, Hotel Schlosswirt has characterized the historic site directly beneath Schenna Castle. With our new expansion project, we wish to honor this special history and seamlessly merge architecture and landscape into a harmonious whole.

Our vision: The new buildings will be terraced, following the natural contour lines of the terrain. In this way, we will bring the original castle hill back to life as a "built landscape," blending fluidly into the natural surroundings.

Here is what our guests can look forward to in the future:

New panoramic rooms: An elegant, semi-circular wing will be built above the current parking area. Nine new double rooms will soon offer breathtaking, unobstructed views of the Merano mountains.

Expanded wellness oasis: The existing wellness area will be enlarged by a subtle, semi-circular extension. A new, small swimming pool—embedded in a lush sunbathing lawn—invites you to experience even deeper relaxation.

Enjoyment with a view: Our dining room will be enhanced with a spacious, glazed veranda, creating a light-flooded ambiance. Our terrace will also be completely redesigned: a modern pergola, stylish wooden elements, plenty of fresh greenery, and natural green roofs on the new buildings will create a wonderful outdoor atmosphere of well-being.

More space for beautiful moments: The balcony above the bar will be renovated and extended towards the south to capture the sunshine even better.

Thanks to this careful, landscape-oriented approach to construction, Hotel Schlosswirt merges with its surroundings more than ever before—for a holiday experience that is even more relaxing and closer to nature.
